Chocolate Peanut Brittle Recipe

Ingredients You Need:
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbl. butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 1/4 cup salted peanuts
How To Prepare:
Lightly butter a cookie sheet and set aside. Stir together the cocoa and baking soda; add the butter to this and set aside. In a medium saucepan stir together the suger, corn syrup, and whipping cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Add the peanuts, and continue cooking, stirring often, until the mixture reaches 300 degrees F. on your candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add the cocoa mixture, stirring well.
Pour onto cookie sheet and spread/pull apart into about 1/4 inch thickness. It is best to use wooden spoons or tongs for this.
Allow to cool by placing cookie sheet on a wire rack. When cool, break chocolate peanut brittle into pieces and store in tightly covered container.
